This is the dirtiest and unfortunately only coffee shop in town. As you approach the front door you are greeted with overfilled refuse receptacles, hand rails held in place with some sort of strap and potted plants filled with cigarette butts. Open the front door to see a rug stained with years of dirt that hasn't been shaken out since the place opened. Make your way through the trail of crumbs to the counter and look behind it. The display case glass is spotted with the finger prints of every little kid in town, behind the glass reveals shelving that is a host to old crusted on donut glaze and chocolate. Look at the menu to see a wonderful cast of words brutality mutilated. Order something from the 16 year old staff.....order it again.....no, I didn't say iced............order it again. Last time I went in there a mouse scooted by my feet and into a corner, when I asked about it they said jokingly, "Oh ya he's been here for at least two years." Most of the time you leave disappointed with your order and wishing you had spent the extra money that you have to spend re-ordering your beverage or food to drive to Old Saybrook or East Lyme and get something descent. Then there's the owner. I don't know her name but I know her kind. She is so rude! Screaming at employees in front of customers, charging for every little extra thing she can possibly think of and making customers pay for orders that she or her staff made wrong. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DISGUSTING LITTLE SHOP
