Provided by YP.comIn 2016 I bought a 55yr old house. I moved in late in the day and to my dismay, the well was not working. Jamie with Action Pump and Well came out after dark to clean the points on my pump. He said that the points would need to be replaced but would do ok for a little while. Nothing in this house that has to be replaced is easy to do.
2 yrs later. My well tank wouldn't hold air. Action Well came out the same day, assessed the issue, left to get the tank, replaced it and had my water back on w/in 2hrs.
Action Pump and Well, owners and employees were very prompt, friendly, professional and didn't try to up-sell anything. I would totally recommend them!

Provided by YP.comMy pump stopped working and I called Action Well. The owner called me back I told him what it wasn’t doing and he came out to help get my water back on. He was very nice and professional. He said he would be there at a certain time and he was there. It didn’t take him long to figure out what my problem was and I had water in no time. I would definitely recommend them to a friend or call them again should I have another problem. Very satisfied customer.

Provided by YP.comAction Pump Repair & Well Drilling, Inc had installed a new pressure tank for me in April 2011. It was a Brigade Model BR11061, 32 gallon bladder type tank.
The short story is that the tank went bad in 25 months. Action Pump said there was nothing wrong with it, that I needed a new ($2800) well and charged me $85 for a service call that did not help anything. When I determined on my own that the tank was bad they would not honor the 5 year warranty on the tank.
The details are as follows:
On May 9, 2013 I called Action Pump and explained that I started noticing a slight rust color in our water. And that I filled and drained the tank about 20 times over the past 2 days and kept getting rusty, dirty water out of the drain faucet when the tank was almost empty, below the normal operating pressure with the pump off. However it came out clean if I let the pump run and opened the drain. And it came out with only slight discoloration during normal operation.
I told them I suspected the bladder was bad. (I knew there was some way to test that but was not real sure and wanted a “pro” to look at it. They sent someone over. He did his inspection and told me it was rust build up from my well. He tapped the well pipe with a hammer and some rust did loosen and come out the drain. OK so there’s some rust in the old well casing. Not surprising since it’s quite old. However it did not explain why clean water comes out directly from the pump and filthy water from the tank when almost empty. I asked him about that and he said it was not the tank, that I needed a new well drilled. He called his office and came back with a quote of $2800 for a new well.
They charged me $85 and left. I was not satisfied. The following day I looked up how to do the air pressure check and found that the tank did not hold any air. Pumping air into the air valve then opening the drain blew out more filthy water and air both, out of the drain faucet. I did this a few times. Then I called around and confirmed with others that the bladder was definitely bad.
The tank was under a 5 year dealer warranty and had failed in 25 months. I called Action Pump and left messages on May 10, 11 & 13 explaining what I had found and that their service man never even did the pressure check. They never returned my calls. I had contaminated water and could not get any help from them.
Out of necessity and urgency I ended up getting a new tank and doing the change-out myself. I ran the ‘old’ water out all of all the faucets in the house now have crystal clear, clean water again. There’s no problem with my well other than slightly hard water (lime) which we’ve always had here.
There are only 2 reasonable conclusions that can be made: 1) Gross incompetence if one can believe a pump and well company does not know how to test a pressure tank or 2) blatant dishonesty and an attempt to defraud.
Since they would not return my calls I’ll go with number 2.
I wouldn’t even give them 1 star but the web site requires a rating to be selected.
