I took my 35 year old Johnson outboard to have a seal in the lower unit replaced for leaking. This motor spent the last 14 years in Michigan in an unheated barn, I forgot to tell him this. The owner put new oil in and put it under pressure for 24 hours which showed no leaks. 5 Days later it got down to 30 degrees and it was leaking. I took it back and he replaced the seals at NO CHARGE! The 1st honest mechanic that I ever meet. When i tried to pay he simply said "I didn't fix it the 1st time so this one is on me." In fact he's one of the only honest men I've meet in my 66 years.
