This hospital is awful! When I arrive via ambulance I want to see an MD, not a NP. I was being seen for chest pain and tightness, shortness if breath and an array of other symptoms. I was placed in a room upon arrival. The NP came in after some time and acted extremely distracted and annoyed. I rated my pain, she stated she would get me something. In the meantime I had a CT done of chest and after 2 hours of not seeing a soul I was told I was being released. I asked if everything had come back clear and the nurse said the NP would be in. I was furious because I still had the same symptoms as when I went in. No additional tests were run, no fluids, nothing. Just said to follow up with my PCP in 2 days, everything was fine. NO, everything is not fine because you didn't determine what was wrong! I was completely ignored and disregarded as a person. It felt awful. Now it is the next day, I feel the same symptoms but what can I do? My PCP says that they probably thought I was med seeking. I just want to feel better. In Dec 2017 I went there with 2 blood clots in my lungs which required me to stay for 2 days and the NP said it was probably gas. Smh.

I don't think every person will be 100% satisfied with a hospital 100% of the time, it's a hospital. People are sick. People sometimes die. Things won't always progress how you like. But I too have had opposite experiences than other one stars on here. I have been an inpatient once and in the ED three times since they opened, and have always been treated with respect. It is a very clean, modern facility and all staff I've encountered have been compassionate and kind. I am happy this facility is part of our community.

And NO, I do NOT have an affiliation with Methodist.

I don't understand these reviews I totally disagree!!! Methodist Olive Branch Hospital will be my number one choice from this day forward. The reviews I read that are so negative I had to make sure I didn't look up Baptist Desoto it read like every experience I had at Baptist Desoto. It was always hours of waiting rude ass people doctors and staff acted like they had finished school yesterday. Now for the best Hospital I've ever visted Methodist Olive Branch I entered the ER at 5:00 am Sunday morning 7/16/17 I was instantly met with professionalism nice staff. Within ten mins I was in a room within an hour I was in the OR as the specialist which they had to call in to do my surgery had already arrived. I cant say enough good things about everyone I came in contact with. Also I was talking to a friend that stated he was treated the same way I was during his visit. Yes we both would highly recommend Methodist Olive Branch. These bad reviews must be from people that work down the road and scared of loosing business.

I have to chime in on this as well. The nurses and staff we met on scheduled tours were very nice but when the day came when we had to actually come in the early morning hours. A nasty and sarcastic nursing staff met us. I was made to stand outside of labor and delivery for 20 minutes while staff walked past. Regardless of the fact that I announced who I was and that my wife was on the other side of the doors. The excuse they said was people and stealing babies. Someone said it best there is a reason that they are ER is empty. Stay away.

Earlier, I to a very nice person who called herself Alisha, but when I call back I could not reach Alisha. The person that took my info was very rude. I am so glad I read the reviews of this hospital. I was about to be taken, because google reviews gave them a 4.1, but of course they would. Also, it appeared a little odd to have such a high score, and the nurse that I talked to on the phone sounded rude. I decided to read more reviews and they all gave a 1.0 star. All complaints were about attitudes.And although, I have never attended the hospital; the attitude during the telephone conversation was a turn-off. their office if closed now, but I will call them in the morning and cancel the appointment.

I want to make it clear that my NP not Dr.... "Becky that's for you" since you made that so clear so many times... Jill Travis was excellent, nice, courteous, thorough and very helpful, and also my nurse and the other staff that helped me on 2/22/15 were great also, BUT when I tried to call and ask one simple question today the 23rd of Feb or leave my name and number for my "NP" to call me back I was spoken to like a dog on the street by Becky and Sarah!!!! You are a healthcare facility, your job is to be caring, helpful,thoughtful, and compassionate for those who come there seeking whatever kind of medical service they need. I did not know it was a one stop shop and you cant call back for any reason. That should be put in BOLD letters on front of paper, after reading the reviews I see now why there is such a short wait time! Does any one care about how the general public is being treated by so called professionals. I would love for someone higher in the chain besides becky and Sarah to call me and take care of this...

I agree!!!!! This is a horrible hospital. The nurses had to be searched for to give antibiotics, very rude and sarcastic!!!! Nurse said antibiotics don't need to be given at the same time , the body doesn't know the difference.

The people are so rude here. They do not have any bedside manners and they don't care about their patients. The ER is never busy so they will take you right back but there is a reason for that! No one should have to be treated the way that staff treats patients! Stay away!!!
