Maryland Sports Medicine Center treats patients with patients with all types of sports and work-related injuries of the muscle, tendon, ligament and bone. The center specializes in the postoperative rehabilitation of shoulder and knee. It offers a range of hand-on techniques, including electrical stimulation, custom splinting iontophoresis, and soft tissue and joint mobilizations. Maryland Sports Medicine Center provides physical therapy evaluation and ongoing patient instruction programs. In addition, the center maintains a medical library that has books related to golf injuries, patelloferoral pain, plantar fasciitis, traumatic shoulder dislocation and stress fractures. It is accredited by the U.S. Olympic Committee. Maryland Sports Medicine Center is located in Olney, Md.
