I had a disappointing experience with Olympia Vision Clinic. I had an eye emergency but they booked a refraction/vision exam. The doctor acted incredulous that my answers weren't matching the machines. Doh! After it was done, I got my emergency diagnosed, but none of the other findings were explained;. The scribe was told of some findings which I would've liked addressed. So, I felt sort of ripped off.
I was given a glasses prescription without any discussion of my vision. The optician just gave me some pairs of glasses to try on with a plastered on smile, not helping me pick out anything. I thought it would be obvious I was upset with eye issue and that I could use some help looking through the options, and get some friendly interaction. I didnt know if my RX could be accurate given the situation and the doctor's reaction, so of course I didn't purchase anything in the end.
I would have liked the doctor to have been informative and explicit, or at least for the clinic to offer a visit summary with diagnoses and instructions. I wasn't \ given an invoice for half of my follow-up visits which lists the diagnoses.
Now, I'm a nervous patient and pretty shy and depressed actually, and maybe this all lowered their respect for me, or how much effort they put in and how they valued me as a potential returning patient for years to come.
