Founded in 1969, Pioneer Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. The school s academic curriculum includes English, math, science, art and music. Pioneer Elementary School has a staff that includes a nurse , psychologist, classroom teachers, paraeducators, and speech and occupational therapists. The school has a parent-teacher association that recruits and organizes volunteer coordinators who in turn recruit room parents to assist each classroom. Pioneer Elementary School has a library that offers various resources, such as books, dictionaries, encyclopedias and atlases. Located in Olympia, Wash., the school is a part of the Olympia School District, which also governs several elementary, middle and high schools.
