Hillside Elementary School serves the Westside Community School District with its Title I program that provides financial assistance to low-income group children to meet state academic standards. It is located in Omaha, Neb., and serves more than 400 students in kindergarten through sixth grade. The school was built in 1955 and provides education in the areas of mathematics, social studies, language arts, science, technology and music. Hillside Elementary School received the Inviting Schools Award from the International Alliance for invitational education that involves parents to work with the students in the school and participate in various class activities.
