I always feel Italian when I eat here lol. I luv the flair of this family owned business tucked in the middle of a neighborhood in old town area of South Omaha. It's so seeing one of the few small family owned business around because it's what Omaha use to stand for....small business. Everything on the menu is always great, however, my favs are Pasta & Meatball Brascioli, Shrimp Alfredo w white sauce, freshly made Mozzarella breadsticks, the bread & THE sauce!!! I literally drown ALL my food in it!! The half orders are huge!!! Please continue this family legacy throughout even more generations.

Believe me wen I tell the food is great! I lived above the restaurant for 3 years so I had more than my share of fried ravioli and lasagna!

Whoever can say "Olive Garden" is better then Malara's would probably be one to say Faazoli's is as Italian as it gets. Malara's has friendly servers and a quite relaxed atmosphere. It's tucked away in a little residential neighborhood, definitely a diamond in the rough. If you manage to stumble upon this hidden treasure consider yourself extremely lucky. The inside is beautiful as well, great for a romantic date or family dinner. Authentic Italian food made by the same little woman it has been for years. The portions are gigantic and taste DELICIOUS! You also recieve bread and butter before your meal and I usually get some to-go. Just another plus about Malara's. Nothing but good things to say about it, it's one of those places after you go, you're sure to tell your friends about it. Love it, love it, love it!!

My wife and I have been eating at Malara's for many years. To be fair, we know the sisters that own it but that has no play on the quality of food and service for the righteous pricing. Malara's is an informal, family type restaurant, serving quality Italian food at moderate prices. The lasagna is excellent and on the day they serve it the clam linguine is the best. A couple can eat there for $30 without feeling cheated, apart from drinks or dessert.Ralph

Eat there or get it to go at least 3 times a month. They have the best home made ravioli. And there sauce is probly one of the best i have ever tasted (Very smooth my wife does not like chunky ).But all there food is excelent.

I think Olive Garden, Biaggi's and Trevano's are much better Italian restaurants. Our food wasn't bad but the hostess was extremely rude and we had reservations! We were not impressed and will NOT go back!

big pans of lasagne to go, to cook at home, for our last big family Christmas dinner. What a hit! Best in the universe. Don't even DREAM of going to a lousy chain restaurant--Malara's is fantastic!

Very authentic italian food. I like the fried ravioli. Small business with a big heart.

and the best Italian food in town. PERIOD. Why on earth would you go to a lousy chain joint? Outstanding authentic food in a neighborhood atmosphere. Gimme their lasagne!
