Provided by YP.comCrooks!--Two terrible experiences: 1. They charged my mom $600 to repair her 1950's Pfaff and it wasn't fixed. They told me they might be able to fix it for another $4-500. I brought it to a small shop in Millard and he repaired it for $25. 2: I bought an old Pfaff for a young friend of mine. She brought it in to them for repair, they told her it was junk and talked her into just giving it to them. Now it is on display in their shop.

Provided by YP.comi have know this business for over 40 years. They work hard to help customers with new machines and they have the expertise to repair your current machine. 80-90% of the time, they get it right the first time. They are human so if something needs more attention, they will do that for you. You dont stay on a main strip in Omaha that many years without taking good care of customers. No Customer Complaints in the Last 3 Years. Opened for Business in 1948!

Provided by YP.comI took my machine in for repair and when it was finished (3 weeks later) my husband picked it up for me. He said the repair man literally yelled at him because the needle was damaged. It looked to him like I sewed over pins and didn't I know that could damage a needle...?! Needless to say, won't be returning there.

Provided by YP.comI bought my Janome 6600 at OK Sewing about 6 years ago. I was happy with my purchase and I received a year of free classes to learn to use my machine. I have no complaints with the sales aspect of OK Sewing but the repair service left me with no desire to ever return there again. I recently took my machine in because it jammed while I was sewing and I could not get it to work again. I dropped the machine off on October 10th, 2014 and was told that they would look at the machine sometime within the next week and call me with the estimate. She said they were very busy so if I didn’t hear from them to call on the 17th. I did not hear from them and waited an additional week before I called to check on the machine. The lady who answered the phone told me that they had not looked at my machine yet and that she would put it to the front of the line and I would hear from one of the repairmen the next day. I didn’t hear from them again and waited until the next week to call. After I called that time, a man returned my call and told me that they needed to order a part for my machine and that it would take about a week to come in. I said that would be fine because I was going out of town for a week anyway and to go ahead and order the part. They said they would call me when the part arrived. I went out of town for the week and didn’t hear from them. I waited another week and then I called to check on the status. I was told at that time that the part was backordered and would take longer to come in and that they would call me when it arrived. I was frustrated at not having my machine but I figured there was nothing that OK could do about the part being backordered. I didn’t hear from them so I finally called again on December 3rd. I was told that a part had arrived but that the company they ordered it from had sent the wrong part so they had to order the correct one. I asked if they had machines that they loaned out to people in this situation and was told that they did not do that. I had Christmas gifts that I was making so I was getting worried that I would not get them done in time after my machine was fixed. Finally on December 10th (2 months after I dropped my machine off) I called again and was told the new part had not arrived. I heard about another repair shop in Omaha for Janome machines and I called them and explained my situation. She said they had never taken more than a month to repair a machine and that I could borrow a machine from them to use if the part would take a while to come in. I went to OK and got my machine and took it to the other shop. I dropped it off on Wed., Dec. 10 at 5:15pm and they called me around noon the next day to tell me that my machine just needed to be cleaned and was now working fine. I picked it up that day and have been sewing on it without any issues. Sorry for the long review but I felt I had to explain fully what my experience was at OK. Not only did they take a long time to even look at the machine in the first place, but then they also told me it needed a new part when all it needed was a good cleaning.

Provided by YP.comI can't say enough good things about this place. My husband wanted to purchase a new sewing machine for me and we went there after work to look around. First off, they were closing but that didn't stop Dan from helping us and being so friendly. Even though he had no idea if we would buy a machine or not he stayed late to help us. That's the beauty of small business, which I want to support and did so by purchasing a machine that evening. When the machine came in, the box was damaged so he called me and told me right away and sent for a new one saying they don't accept damaged (or even potentially damaged) products like that. A week later the new machine hadn't even shipped so he called to give me the update. He was very generous in making sure that I was satisfied and had a machine as soon as possible. I was impressed by their knowledge, product selection, and friendliness. They also do a really cool upgrade program where if you want to upgrade within a year if you do at least 200 more then you can trade in your old one and just pay the difference. I liked that a lot since I don't know how fast I will grow out of the machine I bought. Overall, an excellent experience. Thanks Dan!

Provided by YP.comThe pits in customer care. The owner will not address operational issues without selling classes. Next he tries to compel you to pay for a cleaning on an unused machine. He also acts like you did not spend more than $1000 in his store by saying he cannot find a record of your purchase. Find a reputable place to shop for a sewing machine.
