I walked into the Byrne Dairy store in Oneida and am immediately accosted at the counter by a very rude manager. She had demanded that I leave my purse outside of the store-- NOT behind the counter-- outside of the ESTABLISHMENT-- next to a bunch of kids. Not only was I told to leave my personal belongings outside, out of site, and next to teenagers, but it was HEAVILY implied that I myself were trying to attempt theft by bringing my purse inside. I have never, in my 10+ years of customer experience, had such rudeness and such disrespect from from an employee, let alone a MANAGER. I have never met someone so determined to refuse cash from a person who has been using the store for YEARS and has probably spent thousands of dollars there. The level of inconsideration for my personal belongings and the degree of my embarrassment is so severe I felt compelled to write this for any other ladies (or men!) who want to shop here and do not have a vehicle to safekeep their purses.
