Provided by YP.comI am giving them a one because zero wasn't available. My daughter was in the hospital for nine days. I have 100% Blue Cross coverage for inpatient hospitalization. Eleven months and two weeks after my daughter left the hospital, I received a bill for $3000! They claimed that the hospital and insurance company disagreed.
The care by the nursing staff was good. The care by the physicians was horrible. My daughter was admitted with a life-threatening skin condition and the hospital didn't have a dermatologist on the staff. My child almost died (They forgot about the medications STEROIDS.)
If you love your child, take them elsewhere. If your child is a member a minority group, run for your life!

Provided by YP.comThe worst hospital. Dirty, unsanitary looking and super expensive. My daughter had head trauma. We saw our primary physician that day and she told us all the symptoms and what to look for and that she needs to rest it off. In any case, she threw up so I called my physician who told me to go to ER. Understandable, so we went to CHOC. They had us wait for 4 hours, surrounded by what looks to be super sick (people with fevers, etc) people. After a brutal 4 hours of waiting, the doctor comes to see us. He asks my daughter how many fingers he is holding up. She answers and he says everything seems fine. She just needs rest. I think your safe to go home. This all took place in about 3 minutes. We ended up going home. Weeks later we get a bill for $1300... Literally 3 minutes of the doctors time after waiting 4 hours!!!! The math comes out to $433/Minute
The advice he gave us is the same stuff I already knew from my primary physician as well as searching WebMD on the internet.

Provided by YP.comThis review is related to billing department in CHOC. My son requires frequent visits to the hospital. He had surgery one year ago and frequent follow up visits with the outpatient clinic. The first bill I received was 9 months after the surgery, with 10 months later after the surgery I have received the same bill from collection agency. I am also receiving bills from the outpatient services. I went on line to pay the bills for the services where you specify the number and child’s name and receive the confirmation number after providing the email. No confirmation email was ever received, but I am receiving 5-6 envelopes from billing department per week – including bills I already paid. Money was collected by CHOC, but it is your responsibility to find out where the $$$ can be .... Since this is the only children hospital to go to – you have no choice, but if I would have a choice – CHOC would be the last place for me to go to … !

Provided by YPmobileMy daughter has chronic cough, so her pediatric doctor gave me asthma specialist phone numbers. I scheduled to see an ashma specialist, I did not go to the hospital. Now, they charged me $277 for the hospital services. Be careful when you go there because you might end up paying a huge bill like me.
