Dr. Sunita Tikku is board certified in psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry. She received her medical degree from the University of Jammu in India, and completed an internship and psychiatric residency at Metropolitan Hospital Center, New York Medical College, in New York City. She then went on to complete a prestigious fellowship in geriatric medicine at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in Piscataway, New Jersey. Prior to joining Florida Hospital HealthCare Partners, Dr. Tikku was an Assistant Professor at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where she worked with adult and geriatric populations with extensive persistent mental illness. In 2008, Dr. Tikku received the Master Clinician Award for Excellence for providing care for the mentally ill population served by University Behavioral Healthcare at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Association of Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic Psychiatry.
