At 7,048 yards from the back tees, the Country Club of Orange Park is a driver's course. The golf course also requires well-placed shots to avoid the numerous water hazards and surrounding protected wetlands. Orange Park is a semi-private course that has undergone millions of dollars of recently completed renovations that make it a top choice for club membership in the Jacksonville, Fla., area. The fairways and greens are maintained to keep the course fast and true year-round. The clubhouse is 20 minutes from downtown Jacksonville. Designed by Bobby Miller, the course sits in a natural setting and is home to exotic and endangered species of wildlife. The country club has paying members, but the public can reserve tee times. There is a golf instruction school available at the clubhouse where instruction, golf technique and practice are offered. The clubhouse also hosts banquets and weddings. The facility s smaller room seats 50 guests, and the larger banquet room accommodates 200. A dance floor can be added for a reception. The club has access to full food and beverage service.
