How ridiculous that a person, who lives 3000+ miles away from their "loved one" thought that the doctor, who probably saw the deceased only when she took ill, should call all her relatives to inform them of her passing. One, HIPAA; did you have POA from those 3000 miles away? Bet not, and my bet would also be that you do not know what HIPAA stands for, but would be the 1st person jumping on its protections if your rights were violated. Two, when a person passes away and your own family declines your calls, you have bigger issues than a doctor's office not calling you. Please, refrain in the future from defaming a physician when you obviously have no legitimate complaint. I have never even met this doctor, but researching him for someone led me to your review. PS. his office is so booked they aren't even accepting new patients.

Dr. Merrick would assist me with nothing on my mother's or father's care. Alzheimer’s is what my mother died of - they did not even call to tell me she had died. I had been in California the entire time. No communication on their health and my family would not tell me anything. He would not return any calls or faxes.
