We were a party of 4 and every one of us was extremely delighted with the quality and taste of the food. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The fireplace was an extra treat. The staff was very accommodating and helpful. An excellent restaurant. I can't wait to go back.

We celebrate every occasion at Il Fresco. The owners, waiters, bartenders and bus boys are all wonderful, warm and friendly. They always make you feel welcome!! We have dined there well over 50 times and the food is consistently delicious. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND frescos to everyone and consider it the BEST ITALIAN RESTAURANT IN ROCKLAND COUNTY.

I would NOT recommend this restaurant. Had a terrible experience. I ordered a meal, which turned out to be incredibly spicey hot. I told the waiter I could not eat it, and asked if I could order something else. They took the meal away, and then returned to tell me I had to pay for the meal, they would NOT take the meal off the bill. I also did not get the food returned either!

A true 1 out of 10. The service is horrible. No matter will be paid toward your reservation, the teenage greeters are too concerned with their blackberries than your business. The food is quite the horror story. Uninspired and lacking in the fundamentals, the food is your typical cheap faire, everything smothered in cheap marinara sauce and cheese. They once were a formidable restaurant, but nownthey aren't worth the gas money to drive there.

been to 1000 ny city restuarents, this is #1 in my book. food is greate, atmosphere incrediable. building dates back to 1720's!!!

The former "Old Stone House" pub and college hang out, has been taken under expert loving care of an Italian family. A small bar with six stools, vine cellar with thousand choices, three small dining rooms with about 5 tables each, wood burning fire place or great patio dining when the weather is warm...Always warm is grandma (always in charge) at the reception desk and 4 or 5 sons/daughters . I have no idea who is in the kitchen but what ever you order is always fresh, tasty and moderate priced. Dining on white linen and flowers on the table just makes it better. And this was a man's opinion, you should hear what my fiancee has to say.

WOW! Always in search of unique restaurants, and this one scores a perfect 10! The service, from the moment we walked in, was inpeccable! The food, from the appetizers to the entree, was excellent! The coziness of the wine cellar, though slightly musty, is a romantic's dream. Worth every dollar, and then some! Looking forward to going back again! Bravo!
