The Orangeburg County Sheriff Department a part of the government of Orangeburg County, S.C. It offers public protection and law enforcement services. The county has various other departments, including emergency medical services, animal control, fire, administrative, veteran services and public works. Its public works department is responsible for the maintenance of all county roads and bridges and solid waste collection sites; solid waste disposal; recycling; building and ground management; animal and litter control; and building security. The county s animal control department provides health protection and citizen welfare services, as well as educates the public about animal laws. Its emergency medical services department provides emergency ambulance treatment and transportation to the emergency room.
