- The mission of Kids on the Move is to support the development of young children and families. The philosophy of our Child Care Program promotes our mission. We believe that all young children deserve a safe, caring environment. Our program encourages the development of the total child, including fine and gross motor development, language, cognitive and social emotional development. We believe that children learn through play and should be allowed to develop at their own pace. We encourage discovery, creativity and exploration. Working in partnership with parents, our child care program serves as an extension of the child’s family. We Have Three Separate Classrooms: Our infant classroom is a language-rich environment that includes singing, reading and, of course, lots of love. The toddler classroom includes a reading area, cause & effect area, dramatic play, blocks, puzzles, quiet-soft area and a sand water area. In the three and over classroom, we begin to prepare children for kindergarten by providing opportunities for language development and increased self-sufficiency. We learn to play and play to learn!
