When I saw this product in my best friend's neighborhood I couldn't help but stop and ask the owner what it was. I had never heard of SimTek before- the homeowner called it Mity Fence but with a little research I realized it was the same beautiful fence. What I didn't know but learned as I began searching was that this fence is also practically bulletproof. If you call the factory they will adamantly tell you this is NOT VINYL FENCE. The man I spoke with politely informed me that they spend all day trying to remind people that plastics are just like wines- there are many different grades and some are poor quality and others are superb. Polyethylene happens to be among the best and most durable and won't fade one bit as I noticed from a Florida installation that had been in for 4 years- it still looked brand new. Now my new Simtek fence is the talk of my neighborhood. Caution- be prepared to spend. I paid over $50 per foot for my 300 feet so you can do the math. It is definitely an investment in the future which is hard to make in this economy, but one I feel will be well worth it. With no maintenance and a lifetime warranty I'm already loving it.

I have been very pleased with my purchase of a Simtek fence. I give it an A+ for appearance, a solid A for performance and characteristics, and a B for affordability. Biggest downside is that it costs more than a regular vinyl fence so it's not for everybody. We paid around $60 per lineal foot installed. But if you can afford the upfront cost then you'll probably be thrilled with this fence like I am. It has a lifetime warranty which says a lot to me. My project was done by Lynden Premiere Fence Works in Ottawa and when I had questions I called the factory in Utah directly. They treated me politely and were a huge help in explaining what sets their product apart. Through the entire process I was treated very well. I get at least 2-3 neighbors per week who ask about the fence and where I got it. I even have people I have never met that drive or walk by and knock on my door to ask me questions. I'm happy to answer because I really like this product and this company.
