Dealing with Hilton House and its management. BEWARE !!

Sellers perspective and experience.

Facts:

Items in their contract are negotiable and was accomplished between Cyndi and myself.

1)They paid for pick up and trucking expenses to receive my items.
2)Timeline for selling the goods was agreed upon by Cyndi to be extended from 45 days and made open- ended. In my case it took 7 months for conclusion and final disposition of sale or removal. Whenever contacted by them, immediate actions were taken to remove items. Therefore settlement date could never be identified unless they contacted me.
3) Per the contract they could reduce prices up to 20% to make a sale without notice based on prices agreed upon from day one. My agreement was to contact me if going below 20%. Only in one case did I receive a call and agreed to reduce below 20%.

Accounting:

1) In January, after receiving a call to pick up or donate the last 3 items, I reviewed the details and found that a number of items were sold at 50% reductions from agreed upon prices and in some cases below that amount. In spite of our agreement they referred me to the contract which reads "If items are not picked up prior to donation, Hilton House has the option to donate or to sell selected items for 50% of the original price". When requested to donate, in each case I confirmed and picked up items at their request. 3 items Sept/Oct 2014 and last 3 items Jan. 2015

2) Hilton House accounting shorted payments below the 50% until I identified the shortage. They then issued a check for the difference only up to the 50%. One check was received without any details as to which items and amounts settled in Nov. which resulted in the identification of the 50% issue.

Customer service:

1) Hilton House does not honor agreements.
2) Rude
3) At times phone messages requesting a cal go unanswered.
4) When I asked Cyndi what, if anything, she wished to do on the gap between the 20% and 50%, I received a dismissive letter which, while erroneous in facts, ended with " you are no longer welcome in our place of business. If you come in or call the store you will be asked to leave"
Obviously not needed as I would never frequent or recommend anyone to Hilton House in the future.

The amount in question being disputed amounted to $300. While I tried on 2 occasions to discuss this matter both in person and over the phone I was met with Cyndi's dismissive attitude.

Hope this in some way helps future customers.
