Moon Schwartz Madden is a profoundly disappointing 'law firm' at best! This place should learn how to be professional when they are put in charge of separating retirement accounts. Instead, the staff plays favorites between the divorcing husband and wife. They can't figure how to keep records of the information placed in their hands, and they charge a bundle to take forever separating ira's. The staff likes to 'play favorites' and if you should ask too many questions, they refuse to return calls and to act appropriately.

I agree totally with M.Hall. Do not let your ex's attorney handle QDRO and do not use Moon Schwartz Madden! They absolutely do play favorites! Make YOUR attorney hire the outside help if needed. They do not return calls, they will only answer any questions via email and that is only if you cc every single person involved in the divorce. Then at best, you get a non answer such as "you need to contact your attorney". These people are so stupid that they let my ex husband bully them into re-figuring the qdro's in such a fashion that were totally skewed in his favor and screwed me. There should be one correct way to do it, not take the advice of someone who thinks he knows everything and is a bully. It took over a year for these fools to finish and I'm still not sure it's done.

I found Moon, Schwartz & Madden to be very helpful. This is my first divorce and they answered all of my questions. I found the office staff to be very polite and courteous. They made an awful situation a little bit easier to deal with.

These people are not actuaries. They are only 'valuation consultants'. If you need a professional actuary, go to the Society of Actuaries.
