Orion Middle School provides academic instruction and enrichment programs to more than 210 students in grades six through eight. The school encourages students to take part in several sports activities, such as wrestling and basketball, as well as manages an athletic booster club and student council. It offers classes in science, physical education, social studies, art, vocal music, English and math. Orion Middle School also provides special education and guidance counseling programs and food services. The school manages a parent-teacher association that organizes fundraising events, field days and open houses. In addition, it has a media center that offers access to magazines and books. Orion Middle School is managed by Orion Community Unit School District 223.
