We hired Boehlert Flooring to refinish two wooden plank floors in our home. The sanding was very uneven leaving marks on our floors. In areas where a smaller sander should have been used (as adjacent to floor air registers and edges) it appears that only the large circular sander was used leaving very noticeable marks. He also appears to have used very very thin coats of polyurethane as small crevices and areas that should have been filled with polyurethane were not filled. He also scratched the baseboards in both rooms with sanding machine and didn’t repair. When we complained he said he could put another coat on for $200. We didn’t get what we paid for. It was a very poorly executed job with a very poor outcome. My husband added two more coats of polyurethane himself to protect our floors. This did not obscure the poor job of sanding and we still need to redo our baseboards. The company did not respond to my complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
