I liked going to Sass in Orland Park, the building was clean, had a nice upscale look. I stopped going to Sass only because the stylist, Dora Eudave I was going to for many years (including at different locations) was not treating her clients with the proper respect. When she was at the other salons she seemed nicer, friendlier and all of the sudden her attitude had changed. Upon going to my appointments maybe the last year or so she always had this sour puss attitude like she was too good for everyone. In all the years I had her as my stylist I "maybe" cancelled twice, but always rescheduled. One thing she always did that would piss me off was when you had to call her about something, she would NEVER answer her phone. She was unprofessional, lacked manners. I noticed when another stylist would pop in to talk to her, and they would walk out she would do the eye rolling thing like she was too good for them. The reason I went to her for so long was because she was the first stylist I had ever gone to when I started coloring my hair. When she moved to new locations such as Sass (at Sass, she shares the studio with another stylist ) I understand she can set her own prices as an owner of her studio. I like classy, high-end, upscale salons. As she moved on to different locations, they were more rinky-dinky places, cheap looking but I liked her work, so I followed. I never, never complained of prices, what ever I was told I paid, plus a 25-30% tip. As soon as this attitude thing began and started making me feel uncomfortable especially after I had to reschedule, and she tried rescheduling me THREE WEEKS later. I knew it was time to go. So the part I don't get now is.......... I have been going to a very high-end salon in Burr Ridge since I left her, definitely not a "mom and pop " joint and pay a lot less. So I realize now what a dumb-ass I was for continuing to go to her, and paying so much more for a generic setting. Oh well, you live and learn.
