Experience was terrible. The bill was almost triple the quoted price. We did upgrade, but was told it would add only 39.95 to the deposit.
Use one of the name agencies and consider yourself fortunate.
I wish my wife had read the reviews prior to getting our "deal"

TERRIBLE customer service. A $10 a day fee was charged to my credit card without informing me. When I discovered this, I called and talked to four different people over the course of three weeks trying to get in contact with a manager. Either the workers don't pass along messages or the managers don't follow up on them. When I finally got a manager on the phone she refused to remove the charge. ACE lost a potential customer in the future over 70 bucks and poor customer service. I WILL NOT go back.

DON'T RENT FROM ACE!! THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY! When checking in we were asked if we wanted insurance. We told them no, we had talked to our insurance agent and had coverage so we didn't need it. After realizing our bill was double what was quoted we tried to start calling to find out why. It was virtually impossible to reach them. It continuously went to a full voice mailbox. When I finally talked to someone, we found out the charge was for insurance at $15.99 per day!! We were also talked into the tolls which was $6.99 per day. So much for our deal we were quoted. But of course there is never a manager there for us to talk to. After a month of calling and talking to several people...one of which told me they would get the charge removed. I have just been told today they will do nothing about it. Their customer service sucks and their supervisor is rude and dismissive. They pretty much stole money from us. We will never do business with ACE again and I will do everything I can to let everyone know they steal money and dodge customers that have an issue with their business practices. I don't know if every location does business this way. I know I will not be using them again anywhere.

Horrible Business, Unreliable (If I could give no stars i would)

I set up a rental for our honeymoon 3 months ahead of the date that we were going to arrive in Orlando. When our plane was delayed in Chicago i called to make sure that they knew what time we were going to be arriving so that that they could pick us up. They told us that Lee would be there to get us..needless to say when we arrived at the time i told them he was not there to pick us up and didnt answer the phone number that I was given either, we were stuck in the Orlando airport at 1 am. Luckily Alamo was open they and we rented a car from them..

First class experience

I've only rented from American once, but I was under 25 (if you rent much, you know how being under 25 will screw you) and their fees were the lowest. What's more, they picked me up and even stayed open a couple minutes past closing so I could return the car. The prices were as good or better than anywhere else I've seen. The place is clean, and there is a good selection of cars. The car I rented was new and in great condition. I had a fantastic experience here and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I don't have occasion to rent very often, but you better believe whenever I do I'll be coming here.
