45 minutes late pick-up from airport. They did not have my reservation even though I had received three confirmation e-mails. Then they claimed they went out of business. Agent I ended up working with did not speak English well. I ended up being charged 3x my reservation amount. Unacceptable service.

I was looking for a cheap car to use in Orlando and google brought me to American Car Rental. The location is in a small office building close to the airport .



The car was great and was worth all the money. After seeing their low prices online I was surprised to see that the cars were all latest models. Staff was friendly, and if you have any trouble with the car they are willing to help. At first I was really hesitant to rent a car from a small local company like this, but my experience was very positive overall. American Rental Car is a great place to get a good price for a rental car.

I set up a rental for our honeymoon 3 months ahead of the date that we were going to arrive in Orlando. When our plane was delayed in Chicago i called to make sure that they knew what time we were going to be arriving so that that they could pick us up. They told us that Lee would be there to get us..needless to say when we arrived at the time i told them he was not there to pick us up and didnt answer the phone number that I was given either, we were stuck in the Orlando airport at 1 am. Luckily Alamo was open they and we rented a car from them..

Thanks to the caring people at American Car Rental our vacation was saved because of them. We had booked a car with Enterprise and when we went in to pick it up, were told we had to pay with a credit card, not a VISA debit card. No exceptions. We were stuck. We said we'd give cash and they said no. We started calling every agency and were blessed to find this little gem. American not only rented us a new Nissan but their price was lower than my original booking. They only rent cars in Orlando and Disney World but for people on vacation it is very convenient. Great service and no lines is a truly unique experience. My family and friends will only bring their business to American Car Rentals from now on.

I've only rented from American once, but I was under 25 (if you rent much, you know how being under 25 will screw you) and their fees were the lowest. What's more, they picked me up and even stayed open a couple minutes past closing so I could return the car. The prices were as good or better than anywhere else I've seen. The place is clean, and there is a good selection of cars. The car I rented was new and in great condition. I had a fantastic experience here and I cannot recommend them highly enough. I don't have occasion to rent very often, but you better believe whenever I do I'll be coming here.
