I do not think this is a terrible company, but I think there is some corner cutting and omission of details that make their sales a bit unfair.



They do have an excellent range of frames (many of which seem very good).



However, they need major improvement in describing and picturing their mattresses. True, they give a rundown of the materials used (which are displayed in slightly misleading pictures of material layers) but they do not display any pictures of the actual futon mattresses available to buy (plus many are out of stock, so choices are limited in that category). For example, I ended up with a mattress that has tufting (when they stitch the top cover to the bottom, resulting in indentations and a non-removable cover). It would have been nice to know that ahead of time--if so I probably would have gone with a different mattress. And considering their futon mattresses are non-returnable, they should really give better information.



Bottom lines:



*If you want to shop here, ask for details on EVERYTHING. I found the customer service department responsive (I received an email reply in just a couple hours), but I now know I should have asked more questions before buying.



*Read all the terms and conditions, and again, ask questions if you are unclear on anything. That's right, the mattresses are NOT returnable.



*Whoever said Gripper Strips are low quality is 100% right...these things are basically just gaudy, cumbersome foam strips with sticky backing. Don't spend your $30 on them (if you really want them, I'll bet you could make em for way less than that). They sound practical, but they seem like a ripoff to me.





So, would I buy anything from them again?



Maybe. But I would call them and ask every conceivable question about the product I want to buy first.

This company says they ship to Miami in 2 to 3 days and it only takes one day in transit because the company is in Orlando. NOT TRUE! I paid rush delivery for an order that wasn't even going to ship for 5 to 6 days according to customer service and Rima, the owner, who also insulted me (more about this later). Since my guests would have been gone in a week, I decided to cancel the order and buy the product elsewhere, but they refused to give me a full refund. The owner said she had to send an e-mail to Wisconsin...Wisconsin?! wait a minute, the order was supposed to come from Orlando (which would have been a one-day ship) No, it was coming from Wisconsin and the item wasn't even in stock. Apparently the terms and conditions state that there is a 5% charge for cancelled orders, even if it is the very same day and only 6 hours later, production hasn't begun, etc. Do you think the consumer should pay anything for a service their company promotes, but can't deliver? If anything, they should not only credit me the full amount, but at least apologize for their incompetency and major inconvenience to me, the consumer, who should matter especially in this economic climate.



The Insult

When I asked if there was any way the 5% cancellation fee could be credited, reminded her that I only placed the order this morning and was cancelling it only because it couldn't be delivered when the Web site stated, she abruptly told me no and said I should grow up and take responsibility! Now that's what you call terrible customer service.

For the last 3 years i bought 4 sofas for my house, for my 2 sons and my children recommended this place to all their friends from colledge. First of all nobody can compete with the price, quality, and service. if you in market for futon I garantee satisfaction from this place.

They have lots of merchandise. Good value.

I went to Futon Planeton my business trip and fell in love with the juicy flavor of their merch and thier prices. My brother who lives down there picked up a futon bes.

My son loves his futon bed he bought here. Very nice furn.

Remember the good ole days when everyone had the futon couch?
