I have lived in Baldwin Park f...

I have lived in Baldwin Park for several years and started going here due to location. The first couple times everything went fine. I'm a simple cut and usually just have clippers run through my hair, shampoo and done in 10-15 minutes after leaving a nice tip. About a year ago, things changed. For 2 haircuts in a row, the wait time was much longer then what was stated. I wasn't the only one, as one time another person started yelling about how their wait time was way overdue and walked out. Hey, one less person for them to worry about right. I stopped going even though the other place I started going to was further away. Tonight, I gave them another chance. I walked in and was told there would be a 15 minute wait, so I gladly sat down and waited. After about 15 minutes someone came in and I could overhere the guy who checked me in tell one of the ladies cutting hair that the lady who came in would go in front of me. After waiting 50 minutes without an apology or any word updating me on what was going on I walked out. I was very upset and knew the only thing that would happen would be some unfelt apology or some excuse that doesn't do anything for me, so no good would come from exchanging words with the guy who lied to me about a 15 minute wait. If the person who went in front of me had an appt., that should have been factored into my wait time when I first came in.

WARNING!!! DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!!

WARNING: DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT HERE!!!!!

I was visiting my sisters who live in Baldwin Park and needed a quick trim. My hair is very long and it's a straight cut across the bottom (with no layers). HOW HARD CAN IT BE TO CUT A STRAIGHT LINE?!!!!

Well obviously it's VERY HARD for MIRANDA the girl that, unfortunately, I let cut my hair. I was very specific about how I don't trust anyone to cut my hair because I'm always afraid they will cut too much. I told her to just TRIM a little bit off the bottom! ONLY 1 INCH!

She had the chair turned away from the mirror the entire time so I couldn't see what she was doing, it was only when I saw a HUGE 5" chunk of my hair on the ground I knew the damage had been done.

I decided not to freak out immediately hoping it would look fine when she dried my hair. I was wrong! Even after my hair was dry, she had the chair turned away from the mirror, I asked her what she was doing and she said just "fixing the bottom" - basically CUTTING MORE!!!!

I told her to turn the chair around and that's when I saw what she had done! My long hair, that has taken YEARS TO GROW, was chopped!

I lost 5" overall around the back and the worst part: SHE DECIDED TO "ANGLE" THE FRONT, CHOPPING AN ADDITIONAL 6 INCHES OFF!!! But it wasn't an angle! It was a big chunk! huge "step" from one length to the other. And the bottom, which should have been straight, had various shelves in it because none of it was cut the same length!

Then she wanted to "fix it" by CUTTING MORE!!!!

Bottom line, I left CRYING from the salon and it totally ruined the rest of my vacation. And now everytime I touch my hair and feel how short it is I get upset! I have been going through every emotion from crying to wanting to go back there and cut HER hair off to make it look as bad as mine!

If you really need a hair cut, you'd be better off going across the street to CVS and buying child safety scissors and cutting it yourself with no mirror!!!! It would look better than if you cut it here!
