Do not hire this guy! Has no idea what he is doing. He can't tell time and is not professional. Poor work ethic.? If that's not enough, I don't know to steer you clear...

LIAR. After some incompetent tree work landed an leader branch on top of my screen enclosure, the tree guy contracted Dan White through Home Depot as a handyman to assess and repair the damage. After agreeing on a repair price, I proceeded to forward White the money on behalf of the tree cutter to complete the repair. White said he'd return the next day to do the job. He didn't show again for a week, at which point he proceeded to remove the damaged support beam and cut out the torn screens. When I returned to my home a few hours later, I find no repairs attempted, only cut screen and his ladders left behind. I was unsuccessful to contact him for a few days. When he finally responded he claimed he "threw his back out." At this point I just wanted him to return my money and I'd find someone else to complete the job. He kept telling me he had sent the money days ago. After waiting two business days, I kept trying to contact him, at this point belligerently, at which point he felt the need to call me back and curse me out over the phone, saying he sent the money, he can't control the mail, etc. All lame excuses from the day he showed up. When I finally received the money order, he had the gall to short me $50.00!!! To me it's not the amount, it's the principle. To cut out 3 damaged screen sections and remove an damaged support beam he wants to charge me $50.00....Unbelievable! I don't know how successful my attempts at recovering the last $50.00 will be, however do yourselves a favor and hire someone else for the job. Save yourself the headache. If it were possible to give negative stars I would.

NOT AS ADVERTISED. Dishonest and unreliable, Dan White promised my family and I a “10-Step Process” in the painting of the exterior of our home. What we got instead was a 4-step process and an unfinished job with painted hedges and mulch. He asked for a 50% deposit on the front end, but came back days later begging for the remainder of the payment due to payroll issues, although he had not started the job, with promises of completion days later. As a Marine Infantry Officer and a veteran of our nation’s most recent conflict, I saw this as another opportunity to help my fellow man and to trust the integrity of a local business owner. Three weeks later, what I got in return was a job half-completed, a mess to clean up, and no hope for completion by Dan and his “company”. I strongly recommend using another vendor or, at the very least, ensure you do not pay this person until you are 100% satisfied with the work completed.

We hired JD (Dan) and his wife Tammi to paint our townhouse that had absolutely been destroyed by previous tenants. The tenants had painted the walls bright blue, and we thought we'd never be able to fix that. Dan came in with a super affordable quote, and he got to work that week. That in itself was awesome because sometimes contractors aren't too reliable. He did a great job, the house looks brand new again, and he helped out with other handyman projects as well. I highly recommend Dan to anyone who's looking for an honest, reliable, skilled and affordable painter/contractor. I would def hire Dan in the future, and we feel fortunate to have found him.

I called JD White Custom Paintin on a Sunday evening and he was here the next morning at 7:30.The estimate only took about 15 min.and the owner,Dan pointed out some rotten wood that I didn't even know about and got someone to replace it at cost and they proceeded to paint the house.They were on time every day.They were real organized and quiet and worked through the weekend to have me finished.I feel that I got my monies worth and then some.Thanks Dan and Tammy

Great work... did what they agreed to do when they were supposed to and threw in a couple items that helped close out the job with excellent results. All their crew members were conscientious professionals and did not cut any corners. I should not have to repaint for a looong time..
