The Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association provides free legal services to low-income families and abused and neglected children. It practices in the areas of family, juvenile, consumer, housing, health, immigration and public benefits law. The firm also provides pro bono representation in cases related to juvenile dependency, domestic relations and criminal defense. In addition, it operates projects, such as telephone screening, teen court, homeless advocacy, community education, earned income tax clinic, and citizen dispute settlement and family mediation. Founded in 1967, the Legal Aid Society of the Orange County Bar Association employs more than 15 attorneys and is located in Orlando, Fla.
