I have been taking classes at The Dance Teacher studio for nearly 20 years.

Throughout my years at The Dance Teacher, I have gained a significant ballet, jazz, tap, musical theater, and contemporary repertoire. I have been to other dance studios, but never felt as comfortable as I did with Nancy Stewart.

I have also been given many opportunities to work with famous dancers and choreographers from different companies because of Nancy Stewart and The Dance Teacher. It is a rare opportunity to take classes with professional dancers, but I have had a multitude of them during my time at this studio. Mrs. Nancy has also helped her students book community and Disney performances to gain more experience with audiences as well as opportunities to see touring Broadway plays so that her students and their families can experience the dance culture beyond the studio.

The Dance Teacher studio is not a fly-by-night competition studio. Our instructor does not force us to compete each weekend, which diminishes actual instruction time and technique for a trophy. Instead, students are asked to develop their technique, to master the basics, so that they may later learn the “tricks” that so many other studios teach. We have a strong ballet vocabulary. we practice technique, we don’t just spin; we dance.

Our family has been coming to The Dance Teacher for years now. The have wonderful instructors and the director has an extensive background as well as a degree in dance and education, and experience with all developmental stages and those with special needs.

The studio brings in master instructors from various Broadway shows and other critically acclaimed performing groups which are a phenomenal experience for all.

The prices are affordable and reasonable, and spelled out at the beginning of the year as to not have any unexpected costs.

The students learn true dance technique, skills and body awareness for injury prevention, not just how to perfect routines for a competition. Our family will continue to be students at The Dance Teacher for many years to come.
