We have been using Dr. Leffler since we first acquired our very first dog in 2003 and he's been there for us thru thick and thin with both our dogs (our first Duke crossed over the rainbow bridge at fifteen), even our current fella Charlie who can be a little rowdy at times. He's an "old school" practitioner who maintains those values but keeps current with the latest developments. His insights have been invaluable over the years and I would hesitate to take our dog anywhere else.

Called for a quote on teeth cleaning and the woman on the other ended rudely informed me "We don't take people that price shop!" WTH? First of all a client refered me, I'm not happy with my current vet and I pretty new to the area. I was treated so poorly. They never have to worry about me stepping foot in their business ever. Thanks for not wasting my time or money.

Dr. Leffler's vet practice in Ormond Beach, FL has become dangerously incompetent. What was once a friendly, neighborhood vet has taken a downward spiral as of late; scheduling errors, misdiagnosed conditions, mix up of records, lying to cover up mistakes, and not believing that he should be accountable for what happens in his office. If you value the life of your pet get your records out now; check them thoroughly, and look for another vet. One of my dogs almost died because of his mismanagement!

Dr. Leffler is the ABSOLUTE BEST vet you could bring your dog (or cat) to. He is a wonderful & caring man & his prices are very, very reasonable. As far as I am concerned, the best in Volusia County.

I have been taking our sweet Pomeranian to Dr. Lefflers office for 11 years now. He broke is front foot once and the total with all the visits and the cast put on was $109.00. That alone was a shock. He was so reasonable. When he has had blood work it has been pricy but that is out of the Dr.s control. Office visits and meds are a little higher than other Vets but the service that we have had all these years has been great. Never judge a vet by the reviews. Go once your self and then judge if this is a place for you and your pet. Dr Leffler is a wonderful Doctor.

I took my dog to this vet clinic and was extreamly satisfied - the staff is fantastic, caring and took as much time as needed to discuss my animal problems. I would and have recommended this vet to several already. Trust me the review listed below is not accurate. If you want a caring vet office with fantastic pricing please don't hesitate to call.

I am extremely disappointed at...

I am extremely disappointed at how I was treated recently by Dr. Leffler and his office assistant. My 2 dogs have been to him several times since 2006, and I did not expect to be treated so badly. When I scheduled an appointment to have a cyst removed from my dog's head I told the office assistant that I needed to have him evaluated and have the cyst removed all in the same day because I could not take off from work twice. She assured me that I'd only be charge one office visit, and it could be done in one day. I was instructed to drop my dog off at 10:30am and return around 3:30pm to pick him up. When I get there Dr. Leffler said he could do it but he quoted me a price of over $100.00 more than another vet, and he told me I'd have to come back another day to have the procedure done. I reminded them that I told the assistant over the phone that I could not take off work another day. That is when they started saying I told them my dog had a wart on his head and not a cyst which is a more difficult procedure. I know the difference between a wart and a cyst, and I never called it a wart. Why would I bother having a wart removed? Anybody with half a brain can tell the difference between a wart and cyst!! Furthermore, why would a wart removal require me to drop my dog off for 5 hours? Dr Leffler sided with his assistant and agreed with her that I had called it a wart when I had never spoken to him directly. Even if you know a customer is wrong you just don't treat them the way they treated me. I will never go back to this Vet again!! Plus they have raised their prices considerably.
