Provided by YP.comI visited this motel in August, 2013.
I had never been to Oshkosh before, and looked on-line to try to find the cheapest place to stay for three days because I had tickets to Rock U.S.A. They told me a price on the phone that I thought I could afford. When I arrived, they charged me almost $20 more per night than they had told me they would. The property was very dirty and decrepit. When I went into the room, I noticed right away that it smelled bad. I went into the bathroom, and there was a huge hole in the wall and the bathtub was dirty. When I went to sleep in the bed that night, when I got under the covers I noticed that the linen was not clean: it smelled like rotten food, or something. The office refused to give me clean linen. I took a shower the next morning, and when I walked the three yards or so from the bathroom to the bed to get dressed, I noticed that my feet were sticky. I looked at the bottoms of my feet, and both were completely jet black: the carpet was so dirty that only walking that short distance with damp feet collected that much grime. The owners were not on the premises all weekend, but there was a "maintenance" person walking around with a beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other who I was supposed to ask if I needed anything. I asked for some extra towels, and he refused to give me any. Every day he was sitting in a lounge chair outside on the sidewalk at 9:00am drinking beer with some of the residents: apparently Town Motel has weekly/monthly rates. It was a horrible experience and I only stayed there because I did not think I could afford any place else.
