Oswego Fire Protection District was established in 1936, and provides fire protection services to the residents of Kendall and Will County in Illinois. It has a full-time staff of more than six licensed paramedics and operates various fire stations. Its fire stations have more than 28 paramedic firefighters and offer 24-hour emergency services. The district attends over 1,000 fire calls and 1,800 emergency medical services calls with the aid of trained personnel. Additionally, it operates various fire prevention and safety programs, offers new construction plan reviews, and conducts investigations into the causes and origins of fire accidents. It also provides public education programs, and organizes mock drills in schools and community organizations. Its fire stations utilize rescue trucks, engines, water tankers, advanced life support systems, and other rescue and fire suppression equipment. The district is located in Oswego, Ill.
