If you are looking for a DJ...hire Carson Evans! He did a great job for us for our reception and it cost next to nothing! My friends and family were in awe of all they were doing that night, zooming around like little wedding angels!!! I'd never expect a DJ to do anything but music, but they did everything and more. They made sure each table was dismissed for dinner, NOt over the microphone, but to each table. Then they helped clear plates, wiped up spilled drinks on the dncefloor, etc. When it comes to the music, they were great too. We wanted to dance alot and he kept things going. He played everything we asked him to and some really cool mashups. One I loved was a Dubstep version of Beat It!!!

We were very lucky to find and hire Carson for our reception. At first, my fiancé wanted to go with a much more expensive DJ we saw at a friends wedding. Unfortunatly, when we contacted them, they were not available. They would have been over $800. Then I had a friend tell me about Carson, so I called him. At first I was a little worried because his rates were so much lower, I thought perhaps he was not experienced (It was $450 for 4 hours). We met with him and his wife, and we were really impressed and liked them both, so we gave them a shot. It was the best deal we ever made! Carson was just as good, if not better than the DJ we were originally wanted to hire. His wife came with him to the first meeting and the reception, and she was great about coordinating everything for us like the dances and the cake cutting. To top off everything, they gave us a handmade card, actually 100% hand made by his wife Rebecca...and a wedding gift! Who does that? Seriously? I have never heard of a vendor giving a gift at a wedding they were hired to work. Really top notch guys! Way to go.

I hired Carson Evans for my wedding. He and his wife, Rebecca, did a great job. She came with him to our reception and was really helpful. She kept us on track for the cake cutting and garger toss, and even joined in on the Chicken Dance when others were slow to join me at first. I honestly was suprised he was as good as he was for what we paid. My sister had her wedding last year and paid alot more than we did and their DJ came out with a tiny speaker setup and was annoying and would not shut up. But my DJ and his wife were not like that at all. They did a great job and you should give them a call.

I used Carson for our wedding reception in Lawrence. I was working with a very tight budget, having to pay for the wedding and reception ourselves. He met with my fiance and me and we went through everything before we signed the contract. He was very flexible with the deposit, only requiring $100 down, and the rest at the reception. He showed up on time and was a great DJ, not annoying and talking too much. He played a great mix of songs. Oh, and his speakers lit up to the music, which looked really cool! My husband kept saying he wanted ones like it for the apartment! Anyway, I recommend Carson Evans. He is professional and much more affordable than other DJ's with his experience (most we called were $200 an hour, he was $125, and offered a military discount too!)
