Overcharges, lies, and very unprofessional leadership and management. Not willing to settle a dispute over a $300.00

I purchased a brand new vehicle in January of 2013 out of state from Vaugh Automotive. At the time, communication between the sales rep. Tim Kirkman and the finance department was acceptable for doing business out of state. However, after the purchase contract was signed there was little if no communication in response from the sales rep. or finance department. I never received finalized copies of the contract as I requested nor the window sticker (which was specifically asked to be mailed or placed in the vehicle) to date (now March 2013), The only reason this vehicle was not purchased locally in Texas was because of the value and options, however, I would not do business with this dealership again because of lack of communication following the purchase and not complying with my specific request after being told it would be done numerous times before the purchase and during the waiting time for delivery.

I have purchased several new and used cars in the past, and I'm happy to say that Vaughn Automotive has left me with a great impression of my car buying experience via the internet. Before I decided to purchase a used vehicle from out of state, I researched and reviewed many internet sites, including Vaughn Automotive. I live in the Kansas City area, Missouri, and was nervous about traveling out of town to buy a car that I had only seen on the internet. I am now back in Kansas City and can say that I had a wonderful day trip driving to Iowa to make my vehicle purchase. The salesman that assisted me proved to be frank and helpful from our initial phone agreement until the car keys were handed to me. He responded to requests to send the vehicle's records and patiently responded to my telephone calls so that I felt comfortable enough to make the visit to Iowa. I certainly will view this purchase as a memerable one. I would recommend this business to anyone looking to buy a vehicle. The owners' high business ethics and management style is apparent in the salesmen and business managers that he has surrounded himself with. Vaughn Automotive left a great impression with me and my family. We will certainly keep this car dealership in mind and share our experience with others looking to purchase a vehicle. Ottumwa is fortunate to have such a hometown dealership.
