Bethany Lutheran Church, based in Overland Park, Kan., offers a range of programs for men, women, youth, children and seniors. The children s ministry provides nursery care during Sunday worship, weekday school activities, Sunday school and children in worship programs. Bethany offers service ministries including the Stephen ministry that helps people in crisis, the altar guild that provides care for communion ware, clergy vestments and altar area and the Lutheran women s missionary league that unites women from seven circles for mission projects, service activities, prayer and Bible study. The sports ministry team provides a range of activities including open gym, volleyball, basketball, softball, golf and pedal pushers ride.

great for pre-k and mom's day out

I've had all three of my sons in the Bethany Lutheran program, one in pre-k, two in Mom's day out. The pre-k taught my son a lot, and he was very prepared for kindergarten. The teacher was loving and capable. The mom's day out has been a God-send. You can tell that the care-givers really love the kids they are watching. Also, after each day you are given a report letting you know the basics (how many dirty diapers or bowel movements, how much lunch was eaten), and also the child's temperament (cheerful, content, aggressive) and activities. It is wonderful to be able to be completely confident in the quality of care that my kids are receiving.
