I echo the other reviews, seems like a crook. Gives a low estimate to get the job and then overcharges. Verbal estimate of $550 with a written estimate of $650 with them doing the cleanup. Final bill over $900 and I'm stuck with the cleanup. I had firm quotes from other providers at $650

CROOK!Called Dave and he gave us a quote for stump removal. He quoted $280. When he finished the job he charged almost triple the price. Not only that, he did NOT complete the job and left a huge mess on our sidewalk and street that the city cleaned up. We paid him in two installments but stopped payment on the second check after speaking with other tree service professionals. Dave held the check for 7 months and then cashed it. Very very disgusted, he is a crook.

We agreed on a job to be done and that my husband could help and that that would get a discount for us. When my husband showed up at the set time Dave was almost done and told my husband that he had decided to take part of the day off. When the bill came it was twice the agreed upon price. When we held his payment he threatened to take us to court. Not a nice guy at all.

His prices are extremely high. 2 to 3 times more than his competitors. When I complained about the cost he just said that he explained it to my husband, but he never actually quoted us a price or a length of time. When I said that I could not afford the entire bill he threaten that he would put a lien on my house and take me to court. I have talked to several other customers of his and this seems to be common practice for him.
