I would honestly give zero stars to this location if it were possible. I live in Hampton Cove and frequent this Walmart. Well, I used to. For the last 6-8 months I have been having a problem with the "fresh" chicken being frozen. I honestly don't know if this particular meat has been handled properly and so I hesitate to refreeze it. When I bring this up to the manager that is over the meat department they acknowledge that this is not the proper method they should be selling the chicken but no one has gotten sick yet…. that is unacceptable. That is just one of the many issues that I have had with this particular location. There are so many things wrong with this walmart and I am just going to list a few of them. The red meat packages are usually drenched in coagulated blood, not all the time but this has occurred to me on more than 10 occasions this past year. After picking up the nasty packaged meat you then have to go to the feces soiled restroom (often "Cleaned" that morning according to the cleaning ledger) to wash your hands. I would never go in the restrooms unless I had to (hand washing) and I have often just waited till I get home if i needed to use the bathroom. The staff are some of the rudest people I have ever encountered. I think this is due to the management treating the patrons as poorly as they do….. If the managers are rude to people then what would really stop the staff from thinking it is okay? nothing! I actually called customer service today to see if they had something in stock. I forwarded to the electronics department where I was told that they don't know why I called them they can't do anything for me. Mind you this is the department I needed to speak with and all they had to do was look up an item for me. I had the item number so this should have been easy. She refused, huffed and puffed, and was all around rude. Lord forbid they have to actually do their job. After she was no help I asked to speak to a manager and He asked me where in the store I was located…… why would I be on the phone if I were in the store?….. I would have just gone to speak with him in person. He continued to be rude and evasive. He refused to address any of my issues or look up the item I was seeking. When I had called the Walmart on South parkway they were very helpful this process took all of 5 minutes. Im fed up with the Owens Cross Roads Walmart and their attitude. These are ongoing issues and I know I'm not the only one experiencing this.
