I purchased a car loan from America's Car-mart in Owensboro, ky. When I originally purchased the car, I had set up automatic deductions from my bank account. when it was time for the first payment they didn't take the money out. It sat there a few days, before they called. Then they left a few very nasty messages on mine and my husbands voice mails. I called them back and told them the money is the account and I been wondering why it hadn't been processed yet. I also asked them not to call and leave me nasty messages like that. I told them it stresses me out. they called me back and said they forgot to put in the paper work for the auto withdrawel and asked if I could make a payment and I did over the phone. On about may 25th I called them and told them I got fired from my job at the plasma center no fault of my own, and I thought this plan I bought covered things like that they said it didn't . 3 days later I found a new job which I have been working at since. But this payday was 7 day after my original pay date. then the next payment cam due a week later, they called said they lost the paper work and asked if I could come down and submitted another voided check. I told them I would the next time I had a day off during the week. I made the next 2 payments over the phone when they called me. then I finally went down with a voided check, I told them I was getting paid by check now, and I just opened another account since my bank didn't have any local branches for me to make a deposit. all I had was starter checks. they wouldn't except that and I had to keep paying over the phone. mean while they are still being very rude and stressing me. I had money in my saving still so when ever they called I made my payments, but when my savings dwindled. I had to start paying on my paydate, I went in made a payment and asked them to change the paydate. I told them I would set up auto pay with my bank, I was unable too. so I just made my next payments online.then on Thursday augs 7 I had just got work and went to get my plate because I finally called them to ask why I hadn't gotten my plates yet. they said they had it. I went to pick up my plate before leaving to car for my dad who was just in an accident an on life support. they wouldn't give it to me till I made a payment. they had never changed the paydate to go with my new payday, which was 7 days later, so I had to wait till the next day when I could make a payment in person to get the plates because my temp plates had now expired. then ever other week, I made my 150 payment , but for a week prior they would call daily 1 to 3 times a day leaving nasty messages. and every other Thursday they said that I was 7 days late and if I didn't pay them by 6pm they would take the car. well I got paid last Friday, but on Thursday they took the car. I had to call the police to stop them, and I took all my stuff out and gave them the keys. I had called corporate during all this a few times about these issues, and I had also emailed them a month ago, and I had called them that day to complain, and I told them if Brittney called me again harassing and bullying me I would call the police. I never heard of such bad practices. I am against bullying and don't like to be bullied. I have my husband a disabled Vet in a rehab hospital, and my dad I had to drive back in forth to car for and still work. I put 8000 miles on the care in 3 months because of all that. I was rear ended and couldn't take off time from work for my injuries, or have the time to drop off the car for repairs yet. I did file the paper work, but the insurance company has the pictures, and stuff but I had to take care of my family. I did still make my payments every pay day which was every other week. they new I changed jobs, and I told them my pay day changed.

Stay away from Cart Mart I've had my car for almost a year and its been to the shop five times now. When I asked to trade it in because I was not happy with the car they said I would have to pay it down to $1000. If I have it paid down that much I'm getting rid of it. They lie about good customer service.
