It has been over a year on our case. My fiancé has a case of an adult adoption. He's being adopted by his birth father. We're trying to right the wrong that has been done to their relationship. The attorney just has to resubmit the court document with one change added, and get the judge to sign. The adoption has already taken place but was worded wrong for us to get the birth certificate altered. Now it's been months without so much as a phone call from the attorney, except the one time to collect more money.
