The Owensboro Museum of Science & History, founded in 1966, is located in downtown Owensboro, Kentucky. Housed within an historic 19th and early 20th century building, the museum is a gathering spot, a learning center and a family-friendly entertainment experience. The Owensboro Museum of Science and History has one traveling/temporary exhibit gallery and five permanent exhibit galleries and he Museum offers a wide range of educational programming to school groups and other organizations. From the exciting SpeedZeum to the hands-on ENCOUNTER to the Wendell Ford Government Education Center, the museum has programs that will excite, entertain and educate.
