I had a very questionable experience with Dr. Joanne Block Rief. To make a long story short: crown fell out and I did not put it back in for over 8 months, the tooth did not bother me at the time. Then a feeling fell out so I did not want to have a hole in my tooth and had to get that fixed. I don’t have a lot of money and when I came to my appointment I told them that I don’t have a lot of money. The personal was very helpful and nice. When the doctor came in, it felt like a cold wave hit me, she smiled looked at my tooth, tried the crown and said that I would need a new crown since my teeth have shifted. Ok, she said that new crown was going to be $700, and I told her that it's too much money for me right now, and I can't afford it. Then she looked at me and said: “then you don’t need anything done” I said I can't have a huge hole in my tooth, very rudely she said “well, you can't afford it anyways”

She made me feel really small and powerless, I almost cried. When I came in I knew I had to pay something, and I was prepared to pay up to $300 to get my tooth fixed. When I told her that I have some money, she put a smile on her face and offered a temporary crown, at this point I just agreed.

I do have to say that the girls up front said that she did gave me a very big discount on the temporary crown, they said it's normally about $400-$500 and she charged me $200 for it. Needless to say I will never go back. Very disappointed.
