Provided by YP.comI've used Precious Furs since I got my dog back a year and a half ago - and I wouldn't go anywhere else. My dog, Cali, has stayed there many times and has received great care, even being put in the 'cat' section because she it too much of a wimp and was afraid of some of the bigger dogs (even though she is a 50lb dog herself!).
I've have had Cali groomed there a couple of times as well and have been very pleased with the results. She looks great and smells better (that is, until she gets home and rolls in the mud!)
Overall - the place is fantastic, offers great care, and is competitive in prices to other pet resorts in the area.

Provided by YP.comWe have been boarding our beagle (Drew) @ Precious Furs for several years now when we go away. We have had nothing but complete confidence in the care that he receives. The staff is always friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their interaction with the pets. Thank you for making us feel at ease when we are away from him!!!

Provided by YP.comMy cats, Amber and Dusty stay at Precious Furs when I am on vacation. They love going there and receive TLC as if they are at home. They always come home smelling wonderful and never with any fleas on them.

Provided by YP.comI have two little "kids" and they go to daycare 5 days a week and i and they couldn't be happier! Lyn and her team are caring professionals who not only go the extra mile for my dogs but for me too. I kennel and have their grooming done there and my Vet recommends them. You can't get any better than that. My kids are at the door in the morning ready to get in the car and go. the socialization is great for them and so is the exercise. I never worry when I am away and if I have a late meeting at work, they never say no to keeping them overnight as i work out of state. I tell everyone who has pets that this is the place to go!

Provided by YP.comI absolutely LOVE Precious Furs and more importantly so does my dog. He is an active yellow lab with a TON of allergies. We used to have a house sitter come because we assumed it would be safer for him. Making sure he only ate his own food, no treats, etc. Unfortunately that never seemed to be the case. So we decided to try Precious Furs after getting lots of recommendations from friends and most importantly, our vet. We were thrilled to find him happy and healthy when we returned with no sign of his allergies! Now he is 8 and still boards and even pops in to play with the daycare crew. I can't say enough positive things about the staff at Precious Furs. They make your pet one of the family!

Provided by YPmobileI will never come back to this place again I was horrified at the behavior of staff and the owner when I picked up my dog. There was a new girl who was training and was literally being belittled by staff to the point where she looked like she was going to cry. The owner was extremely short and rude with me. I felt so uncomfortable and so bad for the girl behind the counter. I wonder how these people treat the animals if they treat people so horribly.

Provided by YP.comMy Goldendoodle has been going to Precious Furs for a couple of years but WILL NO longer be attending. Through out this time, I have tolerated and heavily digested the unpredictable attitude that the owner, Lynne has. During pick ups and drops offs, her attitude is either tolerable but more often cold, short and stern. A couple of examples, one day I picked up my dog at 5:30 - I got no hello from her. All I got was her hand in my face asking for payment. I let it go and said "maybe she just had a bad day". But these "bad days" seems to come more frequent. I dropped off my dog yesterday and she informed me for the FIRST TIME that my dogs worm test was due and that the sample can be taken while he's there attending daycare and she’d send it to the lab. I thought "great". Unfortunately, my dog didn't want to cooperate so she was unable to get a sample. She said it was Ok and that she'd try again during his next visit. This morning, I tried to drop off my dog and Danielle (the receptionist) stops me immediately at the door and said "your dog can't be here because he's overdue for his worm test”. I asked her if they can try again today like the owner said she would. The owner Lynne steps in immediately and with a stern and unpleasant attitude said "NO! This is your responsibility" I told her how sick I was of the poor attitudes in this place and to shred my dogs records because he will no longer be going there. She chases me out of the building with a loud "EXCUSE ME, I told you last month that this was needed" I told her this was absolute BS. Yesterday was the first time I had heard about how the test was overdue. I'm an organized person who cares for my dog and if she would have informed me last month like she supposedly did, I would have given her the sample a lot sooner but SHE DID NOT. Basically called me a liar. I told her that I will no longer be going to that facility. I have found a much better place a couple of miles down the road. Gail's Grooming in Oxford. They are pleasant, friendly, welcoming, caring and passionate for their dogs and customers. Lynne should learn from Gail's Grooming. You not only need to be passionate about your dogs but also for your paying customers. Your customers are keeping you in business. You just lost my business and believe me - I will be spreading the word around with my friends and their friends about how poorly you and your staff treat your customers.

Provided by YP.comWe would never go anywhere else but Precious Furs. They have saved us many times: grooming when the dogs played with skunks, emergency boarding, helping out with ideas on how to get a urine sample from a dog, letting us know when one of the dogs seemed “off” and should see a vet, and MORE!
Our current dog, Gretel, has been going there for five (5) years for boarding, grooming and daycare. She came to us as a five month old pup and her energy annoyed our ten year old dog. Also, she had been abused and was skittish around humans, but trusted other dogs. You would NEVER guess this is the same dog. Their approach with her initially calmed her into accepting them, and she actually runs to the door from the car. If we need to go someplace else and pass by the road to Precious Furs, she barks at us as if to say “Hey, you passed it.”
A funny thing has happened. When we do NOT bring Gretel to her daycare for a while, she will bark at us in the morning as we get ready for the day. That bark, the wagging tail, and the running to the door means one thing: “Take me to Precious Furs to play today.” We have no choice but to obey.
And I cannot say enough about how kind and gentle the staff was with our late dog, Peaches. When she was deaf, blind and had doggie dementia, they could still groom her and she was not afraid. Her tail wagged when she came in and they called us right when she was done, so that she didn’t have to wait around too long.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PRECIOUS FURS TO EVERYONE. Now my brother takes his dog there for grooming, my friend boards her cats, etc…..

Provided by YP.comI am truely amazed by Lynn's ability with my animals. I have 2 husky's (who hate their baths) and a nasty cat. Everyone has always refused to groom our cat without "knocking him out" but Lynn was able to make him look beautiful dispite his ugly personality with groomers. We started with Precious Furs last year and I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else for grooming or boarding. I love their holistic food and treat selection too!!
