Provided by YP.comAlternative Modular Homes built our home 12 years ago. When we started looking around for a modular builder, we found many that weren’t welcoming a young couple with too many ideas and a limited budget. John and MaryAnna were very willing to tackle our project. We found them to be very honest, friendly, and professional. We knew we had found the right place at Alternative Modular Homes.
We had our lot and a house plan set to go, but discovered that the amount of ledge to be blasted would put us well over budget. MaryAnna knew our mind was set on a cape and didn’t press the idea of a split-level. We eventually decided to change the style of house to fit the land. MaryAnna patiently went back to the drawing board with us to design our home. We had many options and making decisions was difficult for us. MaryAnna allowed us all the time we needed to get it right. The process took many months, but it was well worth the time. We love our home.
We liked working with MaryAnna and John so much that we are currently designing a second home with them. They have many years of experience with their manufacturers and their contractors. This helps the whole process go very smoothly. We know that the Alternative Modular Home product is high quality, and we trust that all aspects of our project will be handled with great knowledge and expertise and in a timely manner.. Again we are facing all the new choices for our home. MaryAnna and John have met with us many times as we work toward the final plans. We really appreciate the personal attention they give us.

Provided by YP.com"In the spring of 2009, after visiting several modular home businesses, we chose Alternative Modular Homes after our first visit with Mary Anna and John Palmer. The professionalism they showed during our initial site visit was what convinced us. They asked us questions, made no assumptions and courteously offered helpful ideas as we struggled to understand what was possible with our old side hill property.
Overtwo years later the result still amazes us on a daily basis! It is the house we always dreamed of, the placement, the layout and the wonderful deck that Mary Anna suggested makes it even better than we hoped for. Our home is warm, well built and very attractive. It is a pleasure to invite our family and friends here.
Mary Anna and John not only sold us this modular home, supplied all the contractors and materials as needed, they also helped us work through many issues that came up as it was all coming together. Their efficiency and professionalism was greatly appreciated.
Alternative Modular Homes is in our opinion the place to go for a beautiful and well made home!"

Provided by YP.comMy wife and I had Alternative Modular Homes build our home 8 years ago and we have been nothing short of 100% satisfied with their product.
The entire process from design to delivery was simple and painless. The home is very well built and all of the fixtures, floor coverings, and electrical have held up very well. We have not had to do any major repairs since moving in.
The owners were a pleasure to deal with and it was evident that they truly know their craft. I would recommend this company for anyone in the market for a new home.

Provided by YP.comWe found the people at Alternative Modular Homes to be excellent, honest and very hard working. They really know what they are doing when it comes to building homes. We had shopped everyone and are delighted we chose them to build our home. We couldn't be happier. I don't know what the previous reviewer's problem is, but there just has to be more to his story. We would highly recommend Alternative Modular Homes to anyone looking to build a home.

Provided by YP.comAlternative Modular Homes dba Palmer Development Corp filed a frivolous lien on my home. Their final invoice to me was $90, invoice was post marked November 4th. Check mailed within days, they filed a Mechanics lien on my home for $90.63 (they added interest) on November 16th. The lien was filed 12 days after the post mark of the invoice. I offered to cancel payment on the check they claimed they did not receive and hand deliver the $90 on 11/19, the day I found out about the lien and they refused to accept payment. Stay far away from Alternative Modular Homes. Now I'm left to get this frivolous lien off of my property.
