Provided by YP.comDO NOT EVER USE THIS SORRY EXCUSE OF A CAB SERVICE! Last night my wife called them to pick her up at Wal-Mart in Oxnard about 10:40 pm, She was trying other cab companies for at least a couple hours with no luck. Many don't bother answering the phone, others said they's be there and never show up. One other said it'll be awhile. Her and my 8 yr.old son were getting medication. My son had been to the doctors earlier in the evening and was told he had full blown influenza! She needed my sons medication badly. She rides this route from Wal-Mart to El Rio regularly and typically pays 10 bucks on average. This time as they were loading the car with grocery bags she noticed the meter showed $3.50. She asked him, "why is it at $3.50 already, we haven't even left yet?" The rude driver responds by saying he can start the meter anytime he wants to! She began to question him that that isn't right to do to someone. Now, he changed his story and said the meter began running as soon as the bags were being placed in the car, once he gets loaded he can't leave, so he begins charging people. She accused him of starting the meter before she even came out, because $3.50 is a lot of money for just coming out side and start loading the car. He didn't like her questioning him obviously, but sometimes you have to or these guys will rip you off if you stay quiet. Anyway they left and headed for El Rio, just over the bridge on Rose Ave. She was getting her money and realized that because the medication cost more than she anticipated she was going to be short 1 or 2 dollars. This is where it gets real BAD. The cab was supposed to go to Salem Ave. When he turned onto Simon Way and George Street from Rose Ave., he stopped the cab. If she didn't have any more money , That's as far as he's going, he said. Mind you, Salem Ave. is literally 200 ft. from where he stopped and they live have way down the long block on Salem. It's 50 degrees outside, my son is real sick and she has bags and bags of groceries she now has to carry! What would it have cost this guy to take her half a block? Nothing! The cab company would have garnered a lot of goodwill for doing the right thing. But because she was going to be short, he decided to drop her off. To make matters worse, that area isn't safe to walk in at that hour of the night. My wife was extremely upset and my son was crying. He was sick with a fever, shaking in the cold and had to help his mom carry plastic bags home. This cab driver was some white guy, she never got his name. This is not how you treat customers? This can't be the first time he has done this to someone if he did it to a mom and her child at 11:40 at night in the cold. Talk about BAD service, and just not giving a damn! We will NEVER use these guys again, You should think hard before getting into their cab. I can't believe how hard it is to get a good cab service in this town. Drivers are unkept, they smoke, not very friendly, overall just bad mannered. The only reason they got one star, is I could uncheck it. You have to give them a rating.
UPDATE - 2-14-13
I called to speak to the owner. His name is Greg. I told him what had occurred. He listened, although he interrupted me a lot and said he would talk to the driver who's name is Dan, and get back with me. Well, he never did. Obviously, he doesn't care! It's been well over a week and a half since I called and I've yet to hear back from him. Save yourself some grief, DO NOT USE THIS CAB SERVICE!
