Provided by YPmobileI worked at the refinery in the late 1984 to 1991as an Heavy Equipment operator. I mostly operated a Case Backhoe digging pipeline from the wells to the refinery it's self. The owner of the refinery at that time was Morley Chase, whom also, with other members of the Chase family, own the Chase Brothers Dairy which where the popular drive-in Dairy locations that were scattered around Ventura County and Santa Maria Ca area. The Chase Family members that I had known were some very nice people and Morley Chase was a very very wonderful person and a better employer. I left the refinery due to the hours I worked, I did not like having to work one week from 4:pm to 12 midnight for a week and then 12 midnight to 8:am for 7 days. I was watching my two teen-agers grow-up without me. The would be coming home from school at the same time I was trying to get some sleep, needless to say, shift work and teen-agers did not work out for me as I was watching them grow up in front of me and I was missing out on their young years and I hated that.
