Established in 2006, Rio del Mar Elementary School provides learning opportunities for more than 400 students in kindergarten through grade six. The school s library media center enables students and staff to effectively locate and use information, as well as encourages lifelong learning. It has a team of counselors that assists students in the process of growing physically, socially and educationally and also helps them to solve their problems and cope with crisis situations. The school includes various subjects in its curriculum, such as reading, spelling, speech, language arts, physical education, math, science, social studies and English. In addition, it provides food and transportation services. Rio del Mar Elementary School is a part of the Rio School District and is located in Oxnard, Calif.
