This is by far the worst program. Completely money hungry.. they make these girls stand out in cold, hot, rainy, snow, hail, whatever weather and ask for donations no matter what. Several stores have kicked them out because they attack customers asking for donations. Apparently they are required to ask every person and if they don’t they get in trouble and miss phone calls to their families. On fundraisers they claim to reach out to the lost and broken community by telling about the program, but if they talk too long to a person they are considered fratenizing and get in trouble for missing other people walking out the door, to ask for donations. The girls also get in trouble or told they are “spiritually right” with God if they aren’t making enough money for the ministry. I am a neighbor of the house on Sarah lane next door and several of the girls have left and walked out and told me the program is belittling, selfish and money hungry. Almost seeming like a cult. I first hand saw a girl shovel a raccoon out of the trash, when later found from another girl who left, that was part of the “discipline”. It’s sad that these girls go for healing, they aren’t getting the proper counseling they deserve, the staff is unfit like said in the below comments. This program needs a drastic change.

C, you don't know the half of it. What you went through sounds exactly like what I experienced. They would throw out FULL pots of coffee and put up loads of food while everyone else was still starving or so DEAD tired from being worked like dogs, they could have easily shared another cup. What sealed the deal for me was watching Rose and Brittany stuffing their faces with candy and cookies one night before bed. I was so hungry, my stomach in knots, and watching these two frauds just snacking away was the nail in the coffin.

In my days of poor choices, I would often put myself in bad and unsafe situations. Being 9 hours away from my family, including my children in another state was well beyond a risk I would normally take. I was willing to do it though to get away from this hell hole. They had no resources for someone like me who had experienced abuse, trauma and had been pulled from the "industry" (if you get my drift) to go to this place. They were ill-equipped to deal with any sort of withdrawal whatsoever.

The attitudes were the worst. The girl who ran the thrift shop was just an absolute c. She yelled at us for taking breaks just to rest our feet, saying hi to customers who said hi to us first and making simple mistakes like incorrectly determining what department a donated item went to. I even went so far as to pass a note to the construction crew working next door to have them alert my husband to get me the hell out of there. Thank GOD they did and was kind enough to let me stay on his couch, buy my bus ticket home and feed me until I left.

Since coming home from that wretched place, I moved into a TRUE Christian home where they got me back on my feet, eased me through wd and got me into Biblical counseling. 1 1/2 years later, I am employed, I am in my own home with my family supporting them with a good job, I have my own car and I am S O B E R. Not only that, I don't even smoke cigarettes anymore. No thanks to TC!

I have been associated with teen challenge Womens ministry for years. Their ratings are top notch . They have a good record of Turning young and all women around From drugs and alcohol. They are a faith based orginasation. The church that I attend has had young laides there several times bearing their teatimonies..

I have been trying to help a woman get into Teen Challenge in Ozark Mo. since the middle of October...Akasha used to answer all calls and call back promptly. Now Rose is intake director and we always get an answering machine and hardly get call back...Call the National number today and they were going to call Ozark and have them call, they never did...This woman is melting down because she was so ready to find The Lord and learn about his word and is so ready for help to break the addiction...HOW DO WE GET INTO TEEN CHALLENGE???? HOW DO WE GET CALLED BACK????
