Provided by YP.comEnded 5 year custody battle in 6 months!
My wife filed for divorce in 2007. At the time we had a son who was only 7. For the past 5 years our litigation has gone nowhere, with mutual restraining orders filed, different motions and claims brought and no movement toward settlement whatsoever. In January of 2013, a friend who had used Mr. Williams in Orange County where my case was told me about him and that he was now in Monterey. At first I was hesitant to hire an attorney 100s of miles away, but then by reading my friends file, I knew I had to hire him. As of last week, we have a trial set, all property divided except for one debt, and I have full physical custody of our son, pending a Court ordered CWS investigation of my now ex-wife. While it is not over, until the trial and investigation concludes, I have not felt this relieved in five years. I pray the trial goes as well as our hearing went and have no doubt it will. So long as I have to go to family court, and as long as Daniel is a CA attorney, no matter where he is, I will gladly pay his airfare and hotel to have the honor to be chosen for being represented by him, as I soon found out he does not take just any client.

Provided by YP.comBEST LAWYER IN MONTEREY AND CENTRAL COAST
The best lawyer ever. I will always be grateful to Atty Williams for all his legal expertise in helping me with my divorce and child support issues. Also in ensuring my ex's parents were able to get grandparent visitation, something my ex -- who became estranged from all of her family -- was opposed to. I found him to always be compassionate and helpful with all my legal needs. I would highly recommend his services. At many times I had the mindset of throwing in the towel, as the attorneys who handle claims at my place of employment always say settle, settle, settle, Mr. Williams stood by me at times I was so drained, I could barely stand. You will never find a better attorney on the Peninsula and should trust this man, he knows what he is doing.

Provided by YP.comWhen all was said and done with my trial, I ended up getting almost exactly what Mr. Williams predicted I would get. Not only that, but his estimation of the judges response was right on the money. Mr Williams clearly laid out the facts without sugar-coating or giving me false hope. He saw problems ahead and was well prepared to take them. He is always prompt, professional, and courteous as well as genuinely caring about the emotional toil the process was putting me through.

Provided by YP.comPerfect Job!
What to say. My wife served me with divorce papers, asked I have supervised visitation, and wanted to relocate with our kids to Boston. She had been a stay at home wife, and her attorney told her that it would be a slam dunk for her since she had primarily raised the kids and I traveled every other month for work. None of her requests were granted, our divorce is final, and because Dan had the recent case law to use, I have 80% custody and although entitled to child support, declined it. I work hard and my whole world is dependent on my kids. Had they been able to move to Boston, I would have lost everything. Cannot thank him enough.

Provided by YP.comOut matches everyone in front of Matcham!
Mr. Williams brought 15 months of endless litigation and attorney fees to an end after I had been litigating a case in front of Judge Matcham and was represented by a so-called “family law specialist.” My former attorney made promise after promise and kept blaming the other counsel, but refused to get agressive, claiming it was a “small town,” and that “her reputation” was not going to suffer if “you and your husband couldn’t settle.” A father in my son's soccer carpool had used Mr. Williams and had his case completely finished after having started his contested custody matter months after mine. I was very impressed in that Mr. Williams was professional with my husband's attorney, but in the same way very direct in what he expected, telling my husbands attorney what I was requesting and that given the case had lingered for 15 months, the time for negotiations was over and there would be no more games and the matter would be set for trial. Mr. Williams, then filed an at issue memorandum and sent the attorney what would be our trial brief. They accepted all of our proposed settlement agreement which gave me a better result than I had reasonably expected or than Mr. Williams even said we may get. This attorney definately knows the law, and having practiced in Southern California jurisdictions, he was far more experienced than any of the other Monterey Divorce attorneys I saw in the many hearings I now know could have been avoided had I used him earlier.

Provided by YP.comExcellent Job. Mr. Williams was very straight forward and honest with me when I first came to see him. I had been thinking about a custody modification and was eager to file. When I asked him if it would be bad if I did file, I was shocked to hear him say that it would only be bad for him, as in he was turning away a case that was premature. When things did develop, I immediately went to him and we filed my modification, and my ex and I now have a workable order, and I think that suggestions he made to the court that were ordered but fought my my ex's attorney are working well and will keep us out of court. My ex and I are getting along and my ex even told me that I was luck to have hired Daniel as the outcome will save us both money from having to go back to court.

Provided by YP.comI was referred to Daniel Williams, because I needed a divorce lawyer and child custody attorney for my case in Monterey. I had been told that he had spent ten years in San Diego, so I was a little nervous at first. He proved to be the the best investment I made. Mr. Williams knows his stuff, the family code, case law, and how to be the utmost professional. Unlike some others who were achieving nothing by fighting with judge and opposing counsel, Mr. Williams was truly Mr. Civility and I saw the respect for him in the eyes of the Judge, the FCS mediator, and opposing counsel. I could not be happier with my results, and think that Mr Williams is the most professional and accomplished attorney on the Central Coast.

Provided by YP.comI was stationed in Afghanistan during most of my divorce proceedings. Although, I was entitled to stay the proceedings until I returned, I was very confident that Dan would be able to handle my case in my absence. While many people told me that I had no chance of getting primary custody of my deployment, Dan filed a joinder on behalf of my mother who was granted permission to have custody in my absence until my return. He was very responsive to all my emails and made himself available at non-business times to meet my availability. I'm sure I’ll be faced with future requests to change custody, and will continue to use him in the future.

Provided by YP.comyou can count on him. After 10 years of misery, I went to Mr Williams for a divorce and custody of my 3 boys. My husband was a lush and abuser. Mr Williams worked wonders.
He got me a great settlement and full custody. It was worth every cent.
